Ruby Rose of Orange is the New Black

IT’S official — Aussie Ruby Rose is Litchfield prison’s hottest new inmate.

Fans of prison drama Orange is the New Black binged on all 13 episodes at the weekend after they were released onNetflix on Friday.

As Stella Carlin, an Australian character with “a dingo f***er accent”, Rose spends a considerable amount of time naked onscreen. One scene in particular shows Piper (Taylor Schilling) flirting with a naked Rose in the bathroom, combined with passionate kissing scenes.

A former model and presenter, this is Rose’s first foray into dramatic acting. She has capably handled the role, and fans have taken to Twitter in droves to profess their feelings.

“I wonder how Ruby Rose feels knowing the entire earth’s population wants to kiss her,” @TaylorRaneeee tweeted.

“No, but seriously ... Ruby Rose is seriously making me question whether I am straight or not ... I have such a girl crush on her,’ @KimmiSmiles tweeted.

“The only reason I am finishing watching OITNB is because Ruby Rose is actually turning me gay,” @lovelyok_ tweeted.

Without spoiling storylines for those who have yet to catch up, the season three finale leaves Rose’s role open ended, so it’s possible that she will return in season four.

As recently as Friday, she had yet to watch herself in the Emmy award-winning show.

Rose has also spoken recently about how her sexuality and gender identity have been met with prejudice in Hollywood.

In an interview with Net-a-Porter, Rose said that early on in her career she was advised not to come out, or to say she was bisexual. She told the magazine that her role in a major movie franchise was suddenly retracted after she was told she looked like Justin Bieber.

“In hindsight, it’s funny now, but it wasn’t funny then,” Rose said.
