The storm system is now north of Austin, having passed northeast through South Central Texas. It was initially reported that tornadoes touched down around 1 p.m. Monday in Blanco and Gillespie Counties. Tornado warnings also spread to Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Granite Shoals and several other areas.

The Gillespie County Sheriff's officials said they could not confirm if a tornado touched down but that trees and a city building sustained some damage due to weather.

There is now a tornado warning in effect for Travis County until 3:45 p.m., according to KVUE in Austin. As the storm system continues northeast, most and more counties are being placed on tornado warnings.
