The Cavs' chances were scoffed at again and again from the time they lost Game 1 in overtime on Thursday and learned Friday that All-Star guard Kyrie Irving would miss the rest of the best-of-7 series due to injury.
But the Cavs put together an emotional statement rebound win on Sunday night in Oakland, winning in overtime, 95-93.

After the Cavs lost Game 1 in overtime, along with Irving to injury, feelings varied wildly in a Friday morning poll on cleveland.com.
As of halftime of Sunday night's game, 25 percent of 1,522 votes had the Warriors winning the series, 4-1. Just behind at 23 percent was Cavaliers, 4-2. Another 18 percent had the Cavs winning in seven games.
How much will confidence in the Cavaliers soar after Sunday's gutty performance? The Cavs prevailed after surrendering an 11-point lead with about three minutes left in regulation.
LeBron James recorded his fifth career triple-double in the NBA Finals with 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists.
Meanwhile, Matthew Dellavedova, called into a leading role with Irving sidelined, sank two critical free throws for a 94-93 lead and limited MVP Stephen Curry offensively, including forcing an airball attempt with 10 seconds remaining.
This is the first time the opening two games have gone to overtime in NBA history.
The series now moves to Cleveland for the next two games, with Game 3 on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
